Jithin Rao is a Video Game Producer who has worked on new concept as well as ports of video games on multiple platforms like PC, mobile and handhelds and currently lives in Pune – Maharashtra, India. Jithin is also a programmer with hands-on programming knowledge on for gameplay and graphics programming on PC and Xbox over a span of 3 years on freelance and full time basis. Even today gameplay programming and graphics programming is a passion with in for the small prototypes of concepts thats created within him.
Jithin’s Producer experience over a span of 2+ years comes with the Production Management at Gameloft with port titles and from New Concept(New IP) Creation Projects at Ubisoft Pune. Each project is the next ambitious step for the Ubisoft Pune Studio and Jithin has been trying to challenge himself as well as his team on achieving the next impossible.
Ubisoft Pune’s first in-house project “100 All Time Favorites” for the Nintendo DS was produced by Jithin which is the studio’s first New IP project too. “100 All Time Favorites” was also given the “Special Jury Award” in the Console Games category at FICCI BAF Awards 2010. Jithin and his core team were present on stage to accept the award.
Recently, Jithin has been taking guest lectures in Game Art & Design Institutes on “Game Production Life Cycle” / “Roles in Game Development” and has been representing Ubisoft Pune at Indian Game Developer’s Association 2010 with a speaker’s session.
