Well, I am back to my blogging after a short break!!! Having my first DS Project in Production now, had some time to check out a new and different games from the conventional ones. And this game is one among them.
Simple, Elegant and Musical are the 3 words thats been the major incredients for this magical game – Auditorium!
Play Auditorium’s Demo Online HERE!

Gameplay :
- The puzzle gameplay has been similar to that of the lazer games with prisms refracting anf reflecting, but the idea of deflecting the rain drops of music producing volume in point of contact with the volume controllers have been very innovative.
- Challenging ways of completing the puzzle with given set of music rain drop enhancers ( my term of calling the flow)
- Music has been the highly addictive for me (people who enjoy melody) and the presentation too.
- Puzzles are kind of similar but levels are kinda challenging and innovative with more deflectors introduced.
Graphics :
- Another game with the simplest , minimilistic and catchy graphics like floroscent lamps as in a dark night club!
- Suits very well with the music tracks in game.
Overall :
Music Lovers, especially melody and symphony lovers – now you have a game to enjoy the beauty of music in game with just a browser!
Cheers to Dain Saint and William Stallwood AND Cipher Prime, for the Browser Based Game Of The YEAR 2008 !
Just finished playing one among the much awaited games of the year. And I am like WOW! that was a classic game, I LOVED IT! The weapons were much deadlier, much more challenging missions, visually almost a perfect warfare and really a warfield experience with quick gameplay. I didn’t feel the game’s pace slowin at any point, rather the narration was quite impressive and perfectly executed.

Gameplay :
- Ability to throw a grenade thrown to you
- More variaties of guns like AC-130 Gunship, etc, enhancements that you recieve on the multiplayer modes really awarding ones for the experience points and ranking
- Missions swapped between British S.A.S. and the U.S. Marines gave a good idea of the war approach and weaponaries of the armies.
- Your buddies are meant to be alive, thats something i liked a lot, a couple of missions keep to in tact that co-operative missions is unity and team work focusses on. Well thats a well taught moral
!
- AI was pretty decent, the veteran mode actually boiled my blood to some time
.
- I hate the dogs, they are some pain in the ass, they are really quick to rip ur throat off.
Graphics :
- Particle effects looked neat.
- Environements were much war feeling impressive
- Although the theme was war, the Art Directors have kept a check of different time zones to give in a different shades of the war, pretty good.
No twists and turns in the story, the story is pretty old and straight with both the militant groups trackin the terrorist groups down inch by inch and finishing off in style – military style
.
COD4 is a kickass on the multiplayer too, its awesome fun. The boys at office wants more of COD4 even hours after office hours
.
GOOD GAME – Infinity, one more feather on ur cap.
It’s time that i catch with a couple of other games too..

CHEERS
Widely considered one of the best places for aspiring gamers to hang out, Kongregate has been called the YouTube of the online game world. It brings together game players and game developers at a site featuring thousands of free games, as well as a broad range of community-building features such as forums, feedback, user-rating mechanisms, profile pages, and private messaging capabilities. Developers upload their games to the site, and Kongregate shares advertising revenue with them while allowing them to retain 100% ownership of their intellectual property.

“What really distinguishes us from other sites is our community,” said Jim Greer, CEO of Kongregate. As the fourth-biggest Web games site in the world, Kongregate currently has more than 3,000 developers who have contributed 8,500 games — a number that is growing at the rate of 850 new games per month. “If you have an exciting game, our members will recognize it, and reward you,” said Greer.
Unlike other game sites, which offer developers a one-time licensing fee — usually quite low — Kongregate provides developers with the opportunity to get their games in front of a large audience and get valuable feedback in the form of user ratings and comments. At the same time, they share in advertising revenue for the site. “We help them build audiences through establishing achievement milestones and scores for users, which gets the users rather obsessively involved in trying new games by new developers,” said Greer.

Anyways for we game developers, inspirations on the creativity that can be used on games to bring in the fun factor to the games are always welcome!
